Information Sessions
The Restore Clinic is pleased to be offering antenatal and postnatal education sessions which will be held on the first Monday every second month.
We have broken these sessions into three parts: Pregnancy, Labour and Post Baby. Each session runs for approximately one hour.
You are welcome to attend all three sessions on the same day or break them up over different dates to ensure the information is relevant to you and the stage you are at.

Pregnancy
Our session focused on pregnancy is aimed to address the many questions expecting mothers have relating to pregnancy and their body changes.
This session will address topics such as:
Changes in pregnancy
Pelvic floor
Prolapse
Pain during pregnancy
Safe exercise during pregnancy
Preparing for birth – perineal massage
Labour
Our session focused on labour will be used to look at this as a whole to provide expecting mother with common information to improve their overall insight.
This session will address topics such as:
Stages of birth
Labour versus Braxton Hicks contractions
Positioning for labour
Correct “pushing” technique
Labour TENS and managing labour pain
Perineal trauma
Caesarean section
Post Baby
Our post baby session will be focused on navigating life post pregnancy and the transition into early motherhood.
This session will address topics such as:
Post natal pelvic floor
Caesarean scar management
Rectus diastasis
Mastitis and breast feeding
Return to exercise

Our Lymphoedema Information sessions address the many questions surrounding Lymphoedema, either as a person at risk of developing Lymphoedema, or someone who has lived with the condition for many years. We run two sessions aimed towards different patient groups, however you are welcome to attend both if you are interested.
Living at Risk of Lymphoedema
This session is aimed towards cancer patients who have undergone lymph node biopsy/dissection, treatment with taxane based chemotherapy or any form of radiation therapy, which places them at an increased risk of developing clinical lymphoedema.
This session addresses the following:
what is lymphoedema
why am I at risk of developing symptoms
early signs of clinical lymphoedema
what can be done to reduce my risk of disease progression
what should I do if I notice changes
what are the treatment options if I do develop clinical lymphoedema
Lymphoedema Research and Available Treatments
This session is designed for patients who have lymphoedema. It is appropriate for those who have either been recently diagnosed or have lived with the condition for a long time. Throughout the session we explore recent research and the latest treatment options.
The session will include:
why early detection of symptoms progression is important
new management strategies backed by the latest research
donning and doffing devices
compression garment options
when should a bandaging regime be implemented
current surgical options
